We are local residents of Gerton, North Carolina!
The Glenna Cabin is a little slice of heaven. We've put a lot of love and care into the cabin to make it a wonderful place for a get away. We love this area so much, that our own residence is up the road. The location is perfect for a getaway in the mountains, with a short drive to Asheville.
The cabin is a one of a kind, that it is in the Florence persevere. We love to travel as well and want our guests to have the best experience. Let us know if there is anything we can do to make your stay perfect.
Enjoy the fresh mountain air by hiking or relaxing by the creek!
A wonderful and quiet place for a retreat!! Lovely stay and even a nice bonus of fresh farmers eggs and healthy snacks and not to mention the Prosecco!! Thank you for making my stay so nice!

Great location to relax— truly a creek and woods are the backyard, plus easily marked trailheads right on the property for a beautiful mountain walk.

Had another great stay at The Glenna Cabin. There is a reason why we keep coming back again and again. This place is just magical.

We had a great stay in this historic cabin updated with all the modern conveniences. The setting is very quiet and peaceful with the sound of a running stream nearby. The kitchen was well-equipped and there is both a gas and charcoal grill available. The cabin easily accommodates two couples but the hot tub is only big enough for two people. The hosts were very responsive to our needs and made sure we had an enjoyable stay. Thank you!

Very beautiful place! We brought our very busy 19 month old & it was perfect for us all. We were looking for a place to enjoy the evenings not being able to leave with her sleeping and Courtney's spot for was great for that! Definitely recommend.

This cabin was absolutely perfect! My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon. There is so much to do in the surrounding towns, but also lots to do at the cabin. We hiked, grilled, played games from the collection that they supplied, and spent time in the hot tub. We loved it and would love to come back someday!

A cute and cozy cabin in the woods. You are far away from the world in a beautiful setting yet still a convenient drive to Asheville. The cabin has every amenity for a very pleasant stay. It is also perched on the edge of a large land preserve, perfect for hiking. Enjoy and Recharge

My husband and I stayed at The Glenna with our 2-year-old, 4-month-old, and our dog for a family getaway. When we were on the drive to the cabin, we were talking about how we felt like the listing pictures probably made it look better than it would end up being, but when we arrived, we felt that we were so wrong! It was BETTER than the pictures showed! The cabin is incredibly cozy and quality. The creek outside is beautiful and was so much fun to walk in and look for cool rocks and crawdads, and had the perfect trickling sound from the miniature waterfalls. (A camera can't do it justice! It's a stronger hill from the hot tub and house to the creek than we expected and the creek was bigger/nicer than we expected.) We loved sitting outside, whether for meals (picnic tables with large umbrellas that allowed us to eat outside even during rain), a fire, using the hot tub, or just plain sitting, because the sounds and the view were so lovely. We felt so tucked away and did not hear any road noise like we're accustomed to. So many little comforting details were thought of in the space and we didn't feel like we lacked anything! The bedrooms had plenty of outlets, which was helpful for not only various chargers but also sound machines and monitors for our little ones, and they had great blinds, which were helpful for darkening the rooms significantly for nap times. The refrigerator had a couple local beers and a dozen local eggs, which was so cool, too. The gas fireplace and the ductless air system both were super easy to operate and worked really well. We would definitely consider staying at The Glenna again in the future!

The Glenna cabin is like home away from home. Great if you want quiet, peaceful, private, cozy, clean and on a stream! And dog friendly too although you’d never know other than the towels and blankets left for your pet. They included a welcome note, coffee, snacks, eggs. The beds were comfortable which were a big plus and the towels soft! Loved the front porch to be outside while it rained and the outdoor area was so pretty, loved the lights, switch is in hallway. Plenty of stream areas for kid and dog to explore. I hiked the Florence Preserve right from the backyard, Lookout Rocks in Montreat, drove the Blue Ridge parkway and hiked the Pinnacle and Hawks Bill Rocks trails, explored Chimney Rock, River Walk and the Lake Lure Flowering bridge. Hot tub was great at night for those sore muscles! Beautiful area and beautiful place, thank you, had a great time!!

We enjoyed an amazing four nights at the Glenna Cabin. We spent time relaxing on the porch with the rhythmic sound of the nearby creek. There is no detail overlooked by Courtney and Larry. They’ve done an excellent job of providing clear instructions for the cabin and labels on all switches. The cabin is spotless with clear views from every window. Thank you for a lovely vacation and allowing us to bring along our dog.
